Larry will present twice at ASLA’s Annual Meeting in Chicago this year.

In the first presentation, on weeds and invasive plants, he will join Travis Beck of the Mt. Cuba Center and Stephen Murphy of the University of Waterlooin Ontario. Their presentation–Pick Your Battles: Working Amidst Novel Ecosystems and Invasive Plants–will explore the ecology of plant invasion and novel ecosystems as well as strategies and practical techniques for working with globalized vegetation. The session will be held on Friday, Nov. 6, 2015 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

In the second presentation, Larry will join Jim Patchett of Conservation Design Forum. Their presentation–Native Meadows and Grasslands: From Vision to Reality–explores exciting new economic, environmental, and social applications for these dynamic landscapes and ways to design, install, and manage them successfully. The session will be held on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015 from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.

The sessions promise to be chock full of concrete, practical information and inspiring new ideas, and Larry is excited to join these accomplished and thoughtful practitioners.
